“I don’t get super personal on this page very often just because I don’t want to bombard people but today is a pretty big day for me. 2 years ago I had a close call with some not so friendly substances. If it wasn’t for a few people in my life I wouldn’t be here and every day I am grateful that I made it. After i got out of that hole… I found music. It has been one of the greatest parts of my life since then. I downloaded Ableton, got some plugins, and learned how to play some piano by making some not so good remixes. I thought they were gold at the time though. I spent every second I had on learning what I could about production and I fell in love with losing myself in melodies, progressions, and some bass. my goal with my music is to get all of u to have a similar reaction. I’m not trying to make the next Beatport banger that has virtually no substance… I would so much rather connect with people through my music. That doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate all u guys getting rowdy as possible at my shows. I look at it as u guys taking care of my share. I hope you can relate to this and I can’t wait to share some of these new tunes with you that mean a ton to me. Sorry for the essay! love ya’ll.” – iLLENIUM

Love is Music

Music is the universal language that brings us all together.
You can be anywhere in the world or just hear a song with a language that varies from yours but if you enjoy the music it doesn’t matter what they’re saying.
Over the summer I joined a mission team to a village in the mountains of Guatemala called Chisec. The village people only spoke Q’eqchi’. It didn’t take long for the the team to spread out and start playing with the children with different games like soccer and crafts. I lingered back a bit because I noticed a beautiful little girl that wouldn’t play with anyone. She shied away from the team members and sat hugging a wooden pole that was holding up the roof of their home.
I made it a goal to get her to open up and smile before we left so I tactfully sat a couple feet away pretending to watch the soccer game. My soccer skills aren’t the best anyways. I noticed her look in my direction but I didn’t acknowledge it for fear of scaring her away.
A song came to me, Jesus Loves Me, in Spanish that I had just learned from the children’s home in Coban. I started singing the song hoping it would get her attention and it worked! She inched closer to me with each note until she was right beside me. She reached up to play with my hair and I just turned and smiled.
This was such a profound moment for me. It made me realize how important music is. In that moment I understood how we can get the whole world to open up and come closer to the truth…
Love is Music and Music is Love and together both will tear down any walls ever build that separate mankind.
That is the answer to world peace. We are all in this together.
Cheers to the musicians that bring us all together as a unified body of one.

I LOVE so much about this artist I don’t even know where to start.
Dub Fx, Benjamin Stanford, is killing the “LIVE LOOPING” game. What is this you ask? Looping essentially means to dub hence “Dub” Fx. It’s when a musician sits in front of you with a hand full of instruments and they create a sound live then loop it and string along more sound through different methods creating and painting a masterpiece of music before your very eyes. It’s magic to me.
Dub Fx is in a league of his own and has boosted his rating in my book because a lot of the bass and what sounds like drums in his music comes from his voice by beatboxing. It’s amazing. He only uses two instruments consisting of a loop station and a guitar but the majority of his sound is organic vocals. Other sounds you can expect from him are: Hip Hop, Drum & Bass, and Dubstep.
Icing on top of the cake?
HIS LYRICS ARE INSPIRATIONAL AND PROMOTE WORLD PEACE.
Aussie, musician, peace ambassador… you can’t ask for a better show to see than this.
